Some Insight into Me
To Everyone who is a member of my site, Thank you! Not only are you supporting me and allowing me to make this my job, but you make me feel wanted. I just did a podcast interview with BJJFanatics where, in the end, they asked me what my goals were for the end of the year and next year. My answer was somewhat this," I don't know, I hope like 3 more things. Whatever that will be, I can be proud of it. This year, I created the HeisenGuard2.0 and Malaplata. I really was proud of that for a month :) Then, it disappeared until people started sharing what I taught online with their students. Some amazing coaches send me clips of their training and teaching it globally.
The big thing is that I live off accomplishing things. When they are done, they are over. I need the next thing to feel good.
I teach most of my classes and prepare before every class. I want it to be good. I want it to be something a quarter will take away from that they have never seen or thought of. It was so rare, and still is, that someone above purple belt would learn something new in a general class.
The members who come to my site and learn from the new material I put together have been keeping me busy and giving me those wins or small accomplishments. Seeing a new customer is fantastic, and losing a customer sucks (not just bc of the financial side but that they didn't find what I created as worth the subscription) But I know I am constantly connecting and sharing with the world what I have toiled over and adapted or created things I thought were unique and that they would receive nowhere else.
Throughout my life, I have measured success through wins and losses. However, there are better ways to evaluate success and promote creativity. Throughout my life, I have measured success through wins and losses. However, I know there are better ways to assess success and encourage creativity., but it forces me to create and not get lazy either with my academy or my instructionals online. One thing you will always get from me and my teaching, whether in person or online, is that I care about what I give you. I want it to be unique, and I want it to feel like you are getting that from me. What are the next 3 things to accomplish? Who knows.
Going to Baltimore for a seminar at Ground Control Hunt Valley Sat 11am
Welcome New Students. what are you working on? I have new videos on the way and I will also be organzizing more collections and adding chapters to current collections
I just added 190 videos. I will be organizing them this weekend. Also if you bought the annual subscription please tell me what instructionals you choose so I can drop them into your profile
Hi Malachy, is it possible to upgrade account security by adding Multi Factor Authentication (or similar) to the useraccounts? regards, Remco
So Many Unplublished Videos but I am concentrating on this Coyote Guard but with the Thanksgiving Holiday coming up I will have a ton more time to get you some amazing collections
Liked your concept of surfing. Been working really good for my daughters training to get the guards dialed. Would be cool to see you do more on crucifix. Nice work.
Professor,
In the Gi especially, I have a hard time freeing my arm if my opponent traps it in an overhook. I’ve seen and tried the ways of turning your palm up and rotating your arm through the space and getting out.. but against anyone decent it’s hard to get that space to rotate your arm out, I usually get jammed against their hip. I was thinking of maybe using the overhook against and going for a Tozi Pass??? I wanted to know if you have any videos on freeing the arm from the overhook? or what’s your advice on freeing the arm?
Thanks
